This training will give a brief overview of the components of tough cases counselors are apt to face; cases where a client is desperately stuck, perhaps as a result of trauma and/or abuse. It is designed to equip counselors as they help their clients develop “joyful identity strength” (ego strength) necessary to help them process these trauma and abuse issues in a productive way. This “joy bond” factor allows production of a stronger and healthier maturity that helps to unlock this stuckness and move clients to a place of healing.

What a great way to connect with other Christians in the mental health field while earning a CEU! The Fellowship of Christian Counselors meets on the second Friday morning of each month. Breakfast and fellowship begin at 7:15 with the presentation from 8:00 – 9:00 am. If you are a member, you can earn a free Class II CEU’s, however all counselors are welcome to attend. Meetings will be on the ground floor near the cafeteria at St. Joseph Hospital (February – Assembly Room, March – Assembly Room). Use the valet service for free (allow a few extra minutes) or park in the garage (cost is $1-2). Breakfast is available for purchase in the cafeteria – just down the hall from the meetings.
