Adventure Therapy: August 14
August 14: Adventure Therapy
Presented by: Michael Gobert, MS, Certified Naturalist
Adventure therapy is a broad statement for a diversity of alternative forms of therapy. Among them is wilderness challenge programming. Challenge programming utilizes games, initiatives, problem solving activities, and low and high challenge/ropes courses to address the specific needs or issues of an individual, group, team, or organization. Come see how it can be integrated into the typical and atypical treatment environments. This is experiential in nature, so be prepared to participate and be involved. Note: In order to have sufficient space, this meeting will be held in the Conference Room on the Ground Floor next to the Assembly Room. This room allows easy access to the cafeteria if you would like to purchase breakfast.
About the location: St. Joe Behavioral Health at 700 Broadway – Medical Office Building, Suite 111: Use the valet service for free (allow extra time) or park in the garage (cost is $1-2). St. Joe Behavioral will provide complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water, and FCC will provide muffins/bagels. You may bring your own breakfast as well.
